Sophie Olivier has over ten years of experience in Southern Africa’s non-profit sector: mentoring fundraisers, working on fundraising teams and elevating NPOs annual incomes. Sophie specialises in: applying for and managing multi-year grants; major international philanthropies; government funding and retaining donors.
Personal development highlights in Sophie’s career include winning the Donor’s Den fundraising pitch at the finale of Trialogue’s 2016 Corporate Social Investment conference. Sophie is also a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, network coordinator, and fundraiser.
Sophie grew up in the UK and graduated with honours in International Development Studies at Sussex University, Brighton, in 2009. In 2010 Sophie moved to South Africa, where she spent ten years working with Non-Profits in the Western Cape. She recently moved back to the UK where she lives with her husband and infant son in Oxford. Sophie continues to work remotely with South African NPOs, and aims to build connections between SA and the UK for further sustainability for the organisations.
